New Delhi: On Wednesday the Death toll in an ongoing protest against the citizenship amendment law (CAA) has raised to 18 and more than 190 people have been injured.

In keeping with the Indian media, ratings of people have been moved to various medical facilities in vital circumstances. Amid clashes within the new Delhi, students of Jamia milia and Nehru college staged a protest outside chief minister Arvind Kejrewal’s residence.

Looking forward to the critical situation in Indian’s capital. The High Court of New Delhi has directed the police to ensure the protection of the masses.

In the meantime, curfew has been imposed in 5 regions of Delhi, where Muslims are in majority.

Accusations run amuck that Modi and his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are undermining India’s secular traditions.

The protest against the citizenship amendment law (CAA) began in early December but the Monday clashes were the worst seen in New Delhi.

The latest round of violence came when the U.S President Donald Trump began his first visit in India as president, addressing a rally in Modi’s home in Gujarat.
